The Full Moon takes place at 13.34 GMT, November 12th at 19 degrees 51 Taurus.

The Full Moon is opposite Mercury Rx in Scorpio, trine Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn and sextile Neptune in Pisces.

The Moon is exalted in Taurus and the Full Moon takes place in the 2nd decan of Taurus ruled by the Moon – Luna is unquestionably potent and fertile in the lush, green fields of Taurus, enhancing good fortune and favouring the promise of potential attainment and success. In Taurus this could be either material or spiritual treasure.

Full Moon Meaning

The Sun is exactly opposite the Moon – Luna is at her brightest, her energy and force are at maximum power.

A Full Moon shows whatever seeds were planted at the New Moon maturing and becoming ripe, being illuminated, so that we can clearly see and understand our course of action and see its result. The harvest could be abundant, bountiful, or be deficient not quite what we hoped for.

With the Moon at her peak our emotions and instincts can be increased, the veil between the seen and the unseen is also at its thinnest at this time.

From here the Moon begins to wane, diminish, so it is not an ideal time to start anything new. It is more a time to reflect – and depending on the results of our harvest, either keep and reinforce the beneficial or release and let go of anything that is not working or has become dysfunctional.

Aspects

The Full Moon is opposite Mercury Rx, which means emotions and thoughts could be conflicted, head versus heart. However Mercury is in intensely emotional Scorpio, and the Moon is in Taurus the sign of her exaltation – perhaps providing some balance to this aspect.

The Moon is maternal and nurturing in Taurus, steady and composed as she seeks to bring fruitful results to each and every situation. Mercury Rx in Scorpio is questioning and pondering everything, looking to uncover all that is secret or hidden – especially around emotional truths and fears. Mercury is feeling reflective and the Moon is calm and considered.

The Full Moon trine Saturn and Pluto suggests something is going to be clarified, the end or the transformation of a situation. Saturn in aspect to the Moon and the Sun/Mercury conjunction also brings to the fore a cool-headed, patient outlook – focusing attention on responsibility, commitment and dedication.

Pluto’s involvement adds power and permanence – it may be that ultimately any changes prove to be healing and in hindsight vital.

The Full Moon sextile Neptune alludes to compassion, creativity and dreams. This could encourage expansive feelings – love and affection, the need to look after and care for others or a longing for spiritual experiences. Intuition and imagination may collaborate to inspire artistic vision and fan the flames of dreams.

The third and final exact sextile between Saturn and Neptune occurs on November 9th, just before the Full Moon. In aspect throughout 2019 and infusing Saturn’s influence, some guiding and shaping into the scenarios concocted and envisioned by the other big aspect colouring 2019 – Jupiter square Neptune.

Dreams could be starting to materialise as we connect to practical and realistic ways (Saturn) to make dreams and ideas possible (Neptune).

At the time of the Full Moon Mars is also exactly sextile Jupiter. Indicating a flow of optimism, courage and energy focused on dreams and goals – that potentially results in success and desired outcomes.

As Mercury is retrograde, this may mean further developments or understanding arises when Mercury returns to these degrees (17-20 Scorpio) when direct between November 30th and December 2nd.

It is also worthwhile to be mindful that Venus will square Neptune on November 14th. Venus is the ruler of the Full Moon and signifies what we love and desire, Neptune can denote empathy and devotion but also illuminate fantasy and deception. Someone or something may not be exactly as we thought.

The Full Moon is not influenced by any major Fixed Stars.

TAROT ~ 6 of Pentacles

The Full Moon takes place in the 2nd decan of Taurus ruled by the Moon (Mercury by triplicity), the corresponding tarot card is the 6 of Pentacles.

The Moon is exalted in Taurus – the Moon ebbs and flows bringing change, in Taurus the sign of materiality she bestows gifts of comfort and security.

Book T calls this card “Material Success.”

The Rider Waite Smith card depicts a smartly dressed man and two beggars draped in blankets kneeling at his feet. The man holds gold scales in one hand, with the other he gives out coins to the beggars.

The scales of justice are from Libra, as Venus rules both Taurus and Libra. The gold coins represent not only charity but can also refer to knowledge, wisdom, support or karmic reward.

In a tarot reading this card often represents giving or receiving financial assistance, but it can also relate to offering or being provided with a helping hand – encouragement in other ways, information and insight or emotional support.
